NexSchools initiated an orientation session for the High School Educators of Venkateshwar Global School, Rohni, Delhi.
The focus of the talk was on Media and Information Literacy and cyber safety skills embedding in classroom teaching to build the foundation for media literate students and societies. The session was hosted in support of UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy Week 24 -31 October 2021. Mradula Sing Founder, NexSchools gave a talk to culminate classroom teaching with best practices for information literacy, its impact on privacy.
She also added blogging as a tool for MIL and online safety skill building. She also motivated educators to take part in the NexEd Bloggers Contest 2021 to experience the benefits of practicing this new way of communication.
Ms Preeti Phutela, Headmistress of the schools said, “It was an enriching experience to learn that it is not safe for anybody to Google about anything, everything requires mindfulness, even forwarding WhatsApp messages.”
The online session was attended by the entire high school wing educators along with Principal Ms. Kavita Soni who found the entire session stimulating to practice in teaching and thought blogging is a good initiative for educators.
