The free online short film festival for teachers, students and children around the world is open from 1 April to 24 June 2022.
340,000 children from 115 countries participated in 2021 and also a proud recipient of the first prize of the UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Awards 2021 for this action.
The objective of the festival is to offer children original short films on the theme of solidarity in a free and educational context. Each short film is accompanied by a pedagogical sheet.
After watching the short films, each child gives his/her opinion and votes for his/her favourite film.

The Takorama festival opened on April 1st and will end on June 24th June 2022.
The festival is completely free and without advertising.

Objective Of The Festival
To provide children around the world with free access to auteur animated shorts in an educational context.
The short films are accompanied by activities to allow educational extensions.
The underlying objective of the festival is also to a-rm the educational dimension of cinema by positioning it alongside literature and painting as a resource that can accompany and support all types of teaching. (visual arts, French, ECM, mathematics...).
The festival will also allow children to develop critical thinking and to consider animated images, beyond entertainment, as a communication tool.

Ø From 3 years old (3 years old - 4 years old - 5 years old)
Ø From 6 years old (6 years old - 7 years old - 8 years old)
Ø From 9 years old (9 years old - 10 years old - 11 years old)
Ø From 12 years old (12 years old - 13 years old - 14 years)
Ø From 15 years old (15 years old - 16 years old - 17 years old and over)
How to Register For the Takorama – An Online Children’s Film Festival 2022
The parents or schools or teachers can register for the festival from here:

The films are animated silent short films (without words but with music).
After registration, teachers receive links to watch the films and educational activities dedicated to understanding the films.
Teachers can then watch the films and do the educational activities in class, but they can also email their students the viewing links and the student worksheets, which contain only the questions.
The "teacher" worksheets contain the questions and an example of a possible answer.
After watching the films, each child votes for their favourite film and informs their teacher of their choice.
Teachers can then communicate the result of their class' vote on the festival's voting page which they also receive when they register.
The festival is open to all, even if it was designed mainly for teachers.
Parents, homeschoolers, library, a hospital can also register a group of children and participate in the festival.
Parents can also register their children directly.
The festival, aimed at children around the world is available in 20 languages. The festival is presented by Films Pour Enfants and in partnership with UNESCO, UNDOC, UNESCO- MIL Alliance, Réseau Canopé Institut français
