The Chinese Abacus is a simple device for performing mathematical calculations. My daughter is very interested to join the class but I thought survey before going for it.

            It's also known "Suanpan" in Chinese. It is a tool for calculating numbers and was widely used in ancient time after the invention of Morden mechanical and electronic calculators. It has a rectangular wooden frame with beads in the columns. Calculations are done on an Abacus by sliding the beads along the wires. The Abacus is still in use by shopkeeper in Asia and in North America. The birds are manipulated with either the index finger or the tump of one hand . It's basically a brain gym for a child.
