No mercy...... Give rights. Child labour. I have lived in the Gulf till the age of seven and shifted to India when I was in the third standard. I have come to live in a village and I was surprised to see many children even in the city, who were around my age, were forced to work in hotels, in other's houses, farms, and industries. They are even told to beg. I felt very sad and sorry for them to not see them go to school or play with their friends or their toys. They do not eat proper food or get medicine. Childhood is the birth right of everyone where they live under the love and care of their parents however this illegal act of child labour keeps the child away from even the basic rights to play with friends, go to school, feel the love and care of parents and touch beauty of the nature. Child labour forces the children to act as adults and deprive them of their childhood which is considered the happiest period of life for everyone. They are deprived of their basic need. Why? I keep thinking but I am unable to find answer. Why cannot the jobs given to the adults so that their children do not have to work. Why cannot the rich people help the poor people so that their children too can have the basic food, shelter, clothes and education. Why aren't people's heart rich enough to see these children and have mercy on them. Healthy children are the bright future and power of any country and child labour is damaging, spoiling and destroying the future of the children and finally the country.
I cannot even imagine someone not letting me play or go to school and telling me to work instead. Can you? I being a child think that every child should enjoy the basic need of life. After all we are kids only once. Lets pray for the children who are in need. Its not just about having mercy on them, its about the rights which they deserve.

Dear Ahmed, Your blog is very special. The topic is truly the cause we all must think and try to take action wherever we see child labour. But you deserve a big applause for taking so much effort to post this blog by going to another village. I am grateful to your mother too who has taken that extra mile to ensure your blog is posted on time for the contest.
