People say I am a born dancer. From a very young age, this spark of dancing was noticed by my mother and then she took admission in Bharatanatyam classes. I was 6 years old when I did my first Bharatanatyam steps.
Bharatanatyam is an Indian Classical Dance. It is extremely traditional and known for its grace, purity, and poses. It is dance of mind and soul. The attire for Bharatanatyam dance resembles a Tamil Hindu bridal dress. Bharatanatyam is to express your emotions through facial movement. The music associated with Bharatanatyam is in South Indian Carnatic Style and instrument played comprises of cymbals, the flute, along pipe horn called nagaswaram, a drum called mridangam and veena.
Dancing became my passion when I joined my Bharatanatyam classes. I got inspired by my dance teacher. Her steps, her body movements, her mudras all are so perfect that feels pleasure to see her dancing.
In my dance classes, we have Annual shows, we have stage performance and we have a massive crowd in front of us of about thousand. This removes stage fear, boost confidence, develops team work etc.
In my school, I practice western dance form also. Its fun to dance in front of my parents on Annual Day of my school.
Dancing will always remain a part of my life. Dancing is my passion. I just love dancing. Dance makes me feel relax and happy. I am mad for dance I wake up , I dance, I brush my teeth, I dance, I sleep I dance. Dance is in my blood. As soon as the music strikes in my ear I starts dancing. When I dance I forget everything else and focus everything on dancing. It is very good physical exercise and keeps me fit & fine.
After my school I will try to seek diploma in Bharatanatyam and western dance. Till that I will keep dancing. Even my biggest dream is to open my own dance academy.
