Every woman deserves a certain amount of respect. Situations have been made difficult by those who do not agree. Women, from the beginning of civilization, have been looked down upon by men. Some men still believe that a woman has no right to pursue a career other than being a housewife and mother.
There is a double standard for women in any sphere of work- be it work or home. The glass ceiling is broken in many places. Women from the start have been taught to please, to be soft, to fit in, to not nag and not make the waves. We are supposed to be good girls- pretty to look at and quiet.
What I believe that education is the most important tool to empower women. We must carry the flag for women's education which is a blessing, not a threat and make it our priority being the need of the hour. We need to flush away the flotsam of ingrained gender inequality. Now is the time to fulfil the promise to create a world where every little girl from every corner of every country across the globe can fulfil her potential without impediment and without prejudice.
