How is wearing short dresses related to aiment empowerment?
I think Wearing short dresses is related to women empowerment because it conveys a woman's ability to wear whatever she likes.
Your own question is a fine example of a regressive mentality which raises objections and eyebrows that women have to face about their choices. How come no one questions men's dressing choices? How does it matter whether a woman wears short dress or a sack? Fashion has always been every human's prime mode of self expression and directly or indirectly curbing someone's fashion choices is the same as curbing their freedom of self expression. By the way, wearing small clothes isn't a modern thing. You should step out of your cocoon and study global cultures. Fashion varies with time and place. You'll find groups in Africa where women remain topless. Going by ancient Indian temple sculptures, our ancestors weren't well covered either. And please, a sari exposes much more skin than todays jeans-and-tee or even the salwar-kurta. Wearing smaller clothes isn't a modern thing. The realization that every human has the right to live as they please and tolerance towards other people's personal choices is a modern thing. And wearing small clothes is a subset of that.
