With rapid technological advancements and social media most students and adults are constantly on their electronic gadgets. Thus, a majority of students do not read enough causing them to lack literary skills such as various writing skills, vocabulary, sequencing of thought process, and grammar. These skills are crucial to all aspects of our life whether it’s in school, college or even in a Job. The Covid 19 pandemic has just made this problem worse with libraries closing down across the country and schools switching to a virtual learning environment. In order to solve this problem, I created “LiteraryLabs”. The idea behind the app was to create a platform where students and adults of all age groups could read and relax, express themselves and test their knowledge.
I received $15,000 in funding from an Angel Investor in India. This enabled me to hire an app development firm in India which helped me create a user friendly and reliable app for the student community in the UAE. The app is very simple to use and can be downloaded for both IOS and android devices.
