Nowadays we come across many mothers who are working 8 to 10 hours a day and putting their kids in a day care. Being a working woman, I am definitely not against the concept of a working woman. But when you have a kid to look after, then it is the mother’s duty to think twice before putting the child in a day care. Kids till a particular age, need their mother the most. If parents are thinking that they are doing this for their kids’ future, then they are wrong or are lying to themselves. Kids need mother’s love than the money for their future. And in such cases we have observed behavior problems. Because they are craving for their mother’s love and care.
When they are at home, many mothers give phone to the kids so that they can complete their household chores. And sometimes simply to enjoy their ‘me time’. This is really an absolute carelessness towards the child. Having a child is not merely giving birth to the child, it is a great responsibility which sometimes requires sacrifice of your pleasure, leisure etc. I am not saying that women should give up their career but there are many other ways by which they can utilize their education and perform their duty as a mother. Parents should think over this issue seriously.
