Inspirations have no limits! Who said that inspiration should be something big?
Music is my source of inspiration. It creates endless opportunities for me to experiment with magical, addictive, and rhythmic melodies. I enjoy the experience of my fingers gliding over the white and black keys of my keyboard as I practice with eagerness, waiting for the final outcome to be close to perfection. Music has no boundaries to expression and can convey countless stories just through tunes! It is fascinating, the way just 12 notes enable us to shape them in numerous ways to create a variety of new music every time. How I wish I was alive when sir, Ludwig Van Beethoven dished out wondrous music! Fur Elise, Symphony No.5, and Moonlight Sonata are my all-time favorites!
A few more of my fav compositions by other pianists are:
-Dance of the sugar plum fairy by Tchaikovsky
-River flows in you by Yiruma
-Passacaglia by Handel
-Nostalgia by Yanni
As a music and writing enthusiast, music inspires me to use different literary elements and learn new wordplays used by lyricists.RM from BTS is one of my favorite lyricists:
‘~Told me it’s impossible but
Look carefully, I put a period in impossible
I’m possible
~Been calling your name in this whole universe
Now I need no space
I got youniverse
~I still believe, even though it’s unbelievable:
To lose your path
Is the way to find that path.’
These are a few examples of his intricate lyricism
I am also able to learn about various social issues and topics from lyricists especially self-producing artists like; Self-love, LGBTQ+, gender inequality, empowering experiences of musicians, and more!
Personally, music with storylines captivates me the most as it represents different stories and emotions in a short span of just 3-4 minutes. Listening to and learning music at the same time has also enabled me to appreciate diverse genres of musical masterpieces. New releases of music excite me all the time! Self-learning my favorite songs and listening to passionate pianists are one of my hobbies and efforts to learn more songs when I am away from keyboard classes.
Classical, Kpop, pop, rock, ballads, hip-hop are a few of my fav genres of music I listen to!
Not to forget that music is a great remedy for healing too! Music is so diverse that EVERYONE can find their cup of tea!
