Finally it’s summer vacation and time to go back home after a long time. I was very excited and had all the reasons to be. Because I completed one year of my professional journey and it was full of beautiful memories.
I was having a Masters Degree and never thought of using it as a career option before my marriage. But after my marriage my husband persuaded me in having a career of my own. To be independent. To have never worked, this was a bold decision of my life. I still remember the day I decided to follow my passion about teaching. My husband was very supportive and helped me in preparing for the interviews as I had no experience of teaching. It was tough challenge but I was determined and got a job in well known institute. However, on the very first day of school I realised that getting job and delivering on the promises are two different things. It was nice first experience with the little ones. Every child in the class greeted me with cute smile and that made my day. Gradually, I experienced that while teaching them I also got to learn so many new things from them. Once our principal ma'am told us that - children are like dough and they shape in the way you mold them. So you need to be very careful while conveying things to them in proper manner and in positive way. With every passing day the bonding between me and the students turned into a family bond. As it says, change is the only constant thing in the life and finally the day came when my first batch was passing out. On their graduation day, I could see the love and respect in the student’s eyes. I also felt the same for every student of my class. That made me emotional and sad.But the good thing was seeing them going to the next class and be ready for the next challenge. When I look back I could definitely see that this one year has taught me a lot which will help me grow personally and professionally.
