Premiere League-A Game Of Goals

Many of you like to play sports, like football, cricket, basketball and so on. There are various tournaments organised for the following sports. Today I am going to talk about the world’s toughest and the best football tournament -Premier League. 

The Premier League often known as English Premier League is a football tournament played in European cities playing matches against others for a big silver trophy. There are twenty teams during the season each team plays twice [a double round-robin system], once at their home stadium and once at opponents. Team receives three points after a win, one point for a draw and no point for loose. Teams are ranked according to by the total points, goal difference, goals scored.If still equal the teams occupy the same positions,if there is a tie for the championship, for regulation there is another match of the following, the season runs from August to May with each team playing 38 matches each playing home and away. Most of the games are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. It was founded on Feb 20, 1992, following the decisions of the club in the Football League. One the most famous teams are Manchester United , Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and etc..The current champion is Manchester city, due to the current situation the tournament has stopped. Now let us see some facts related to the premier league.

  • Manchester United has won 13 times the championship
     
  • The most points in a league were scored by Manchester city[100 points] in 2019
     
  • Manchester United have never lost a Premier League game at Old Trafford in which they have been ahead at half time.
     
  • Only three born after the Premier League began (August 1992)  have scored Premier League hat-tricks: Raheem Sterling, Hary Kane and Romelu Lukaku

The funny moments will give you a big laugh

25 historical years of this championship have many moments few were emotional, funny, serious.

  1. Alan Shearer has missed the most penalties (11) but on the other hand, he has scored the most (56)
  2. Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale, and Kevin Davies are the only players to score, assist and score an own goal in a single match.
  3. Two players have scored Premier League penalties with both feet.
