In this globalization era, we can’t avoid the growth of technology, technology that was predicted several centuries ago, is now present and incarnated like a ghost who is ready to overshadow anyone who is not ready to face it, becoming a good friend to people who need it, is also a grinding wheel for people who are slow to respond.
Back when we were little, the qasidah song or Islamic song titled "2000" which contained about the situation of modern technology in 2000 which according to the time was a "strange" thing and could not be understood by reason at that time, now it is slowly becoming reality, even already far behind as the old style. Only primitive people who deliberately live in caves without modern equipment will not be touched by the effects of globalization, while humans who live in social life, both in cities and villages, will not be spared the effects of globalization, both positive and negative influences.
Furthermore, the world of education, is increasingly advancing, the influence of globalization, modernization and technology greatly affects the world of education, both in the village and in the city, one of the main influences of modern technology in the world of education such as learning tools, learning models, as well as steps in learning, assigning tasks to students, information on the development of students, even the presence of attendance also use technology, more precisely digitalization.
The main actors in the world of education in the classroom are the teachers, these unsung heroes play an important role in responding to the good and bad effects of modernization and digitalization, a heavy responsibility which is assumed by teachers from Umar Bakri until now like today seems to increase. heavy, teachers are required to follow the rapid development of technology, the government in this case the Office of Education feels responsible for "educating" and "making students literate of technology", so that they hold programs to increase the competency of special technology teachers, such as the program that the authors now participate, namely VCT JABAR BATCH 5, organized by the West Java education office.
From the original purpose of technology, of course, aims to facilitate all aspects of human life, but as the times evolve, as technology becomes more modern, information is rapidly increasing in a fraction of a second, the global world is at hand, at that time our readiness and preparedness as the main characters both as parents, teachers, superiors, subordinates, and whatever our position must play an active role in responding to the influence of the technology being misused.
Especially for teachers who are role models in the classroom, as the main actors above all thisis also "teaching is an art". As parents in schools for students, the teacher have to taking care of the students physically, we are also required to protect the children's psychic from negative "attacks" of digitizing technology especially gadget and more specifically, from the media social, technological influences caused by globalization / freedom of information which is very difficult to avoid, muddling of obscene advertisements on the internet, rampant pornographic sites, violence in social media, bullying, technological crime / cyber crime, and fraud under the guise of "good friends" teenagers "is a frightening specter for parents, especially parents who send their children to full day school and are equipped with modern mobile phones with qualified internet quota facilities.
A little relieved if the child is entrusted in a boarding school applying the rules may not carry a cellphone.
As a teacher, both in full day school and in boarding school, technology must be truly literate, be it technology in learning or information technology, any teacher, not only ICT / IT teacher, but all who are currently teachers are required to understand technology, don't be fooled by students becoming teachers who are crushed by the wheels of the times.
Physical guarding of students tends to be easy to do, for example by watching their their health, their activeness to their fitness, but protecting students' psychic especially from the influence of technology is difficult, but whatever the obstacles, we as teachers must keep trying as much as possible, is it not to educate the nation's life and to straighten out the nation's children, including acts of worship that will never break.
There are several ways to keep students from the bad influence of technology, especially social media websites, like:
1. Equipping children's morals with qualified religious knowledge like in islam, recitation of the book of morality banat, morality banin, book of tijan, book of taisirul kholaq in the present age is very useful for protecting the behavior of children so as not to be affected by poor technology. Teaching approach with "Ainurrohma” which ask the students to trust the teacher by entering to students’ world and not force them doing something is the effective way.
2. Technology literacy and following its development wisely is also a surefire way so that we are not considered foreign creatures among them,
3. We must become true "friends" on social media that they have, listen to their complaints, respect their opinions, give compliments that motivate every good post, avoid blasphemies from bad posts, improve it by sending a private message by advising it.
4. Learning technology literacy, especially in digital learning using computer devices, laptops, mobile phones, connected to the internet network, students' alacrity in moving the cursor from window one to the next must be understood by us, we must continue to be reliable action actors who are not defeated by students in the classroom and in the lab.
5. Be sensitive to behavior, especially irregularities committed by students, such as moodiness, misbehavior that is out of bounds, bullying, sexual harassment, fights, and so on. With rapid response, it is expected to minimize something more danger.
6. Monitoring the internet network in the form of a controlling server is a way that slightly reduces the risk of internet distortion in learning in the classroom.
7. Teachers as role models must provide good examples in treating technology so that their negative effects can be minimized.
Thus a teacher must become a "Super Hero" who can reliably protect himself from bad technology attacks, as well as protect students from distortions and the negative influence of technology.
