What is that one thing that comes to everybody's mind when we hear the word ‘bookworm’, certainly A person who reads a lot. And I for once have never been able to understand why being called one is taken so negatively. Reading is a hobby each and everyone should inculcate Besides the statistical and vocabulary-related advantages of reading, Reading helps enhance ones imagination and helps us look at the true beauty and enigma of things around us. Now many would dispute this but I would support my argument by saying that yes it does enhance imagination. Well for starters the book doesn’t have animated pictures run on a screen so every person ,event or thing has to imagined based on the vivid descriptions based on the vivid descriptions of authors. It is right that a picture is worth a thousand words but it takes a perfect ‘wordsman’ to build the perfect picture.
According to me every book isn’t just a story. It’s a soulful journey to the world beyond. Through the magical lands and its mystical creatures and through thousands of dreamy fantasies accompanied by beautiful characters and loads of self realization. Yes ,don’t be confused. Every book has an element in it to which we all can connect, an element that has the ability to change the way we think or act. Be it Stephanie Meyer's ‘twilight’ which is a journey through the supernatural or be it Betty Mahmoody's “Not without my daughter” that beautifully describes the love between a mother and a daughter on the backdrop of the Iranian hostage crisis.
So my dear fellow bookworms and the newbies in this area , there is a book on every possible subject. So pick a book and indulge Into this miracle called a story. Jump into this ocean so deep you might not want to swim ashore. Remember that every book and every story has something to teach to you. All u have to do is learn how to learn from it. Also remember that a true story is something that is complete in itself and still leaves you wanting or craving for more.
