Today is my day!

Women have always been considered the epitome of duty and responsibility. Initially, that responsibility was limited to taking care of the household exclusively. However, today we live in a world where women are not only housewives, but also successful entrepreneurs, teachers, doctors, lawyers and what not. They are not only taking care of their families, but also contributing to the fullest in their professional lives. We give it all to the ones who need us; but ladies, how many times have you thought about your own selves?
It is not selfish to prioritize yourselves and take a moment to look into your own needs in life. In this super busy schedule of ours, it’s important to cater to our needs as much as of the others around us. Self care does not only bring you closer to your own self, but also makes you happy and cheerful, so that you are ready to bounce back into your daily routine with a bang!
There are multiple ways you can take care of yourselves:
Breathe: Take a moment out of your busy days, go out in the sun, take a long deep breath, try to imbibe all the positivity around you and let go of all the negativity that holds you back.
Go out for shopping: Buy the dress you have been eyeing for a long time. Get fancy stuff for your room. Buy anything that makes you cheerful.
Healthy diet: Have a healthy diet, with loads of nutritious items, which will not only give you energy, but are also tasty and filling.
Exercise: I know it can be taxing for most of us to spare a few minutes for working out after spending a tiresome day at work. But, try to make time; a little work out can hurt no one, right?!?
Cheat day: Have a wholesome meal; fill your plate with all your comfort food. Switch on your favorite show or movie and binge away!
Listen to music: Nothing can be more relaxing than a soothing track to calm your nerves. Listen to any genre of your choice, feel it to the fullest and regain your energy.
Take a bath: We all are in a rush, early in the morning, racing ourselves to reach our workplace on time, and hence, we compromise on our bath. Take a day to enjoy a long, peaceful bath; sit in the shower and feel your body rejuvenate.
Go for a vacation: Say yes to a vacay!!! All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! That holds true for you too ladies! Take a break from all your chores and responsibilities and spend a nice holiday in a place where you feel comfortable.
Make mistakes: We often have an idealistic approach towards life and hence, most of us are very cautious to not do anything which will harm us. But it’s ok to make a few mistakes. And more importantly, it’s important to forgive ourselves for our mistakes. After all, our mistakes are who define us, right?!?
Ponder over yourself: Every night before sleeping, think about your day, think of all the ways you could have made it better. Let go of all depressing thoughts and sleep with a clear mind, to be ready for the next day.
