“Water not to be taken for Granted”

70% of our planet is comprised of water; however humans can only use 10-15% out of it. We all have been listening about water pollution a lot; we all know the reasons for water pollution.

Today we will be discussing one of the reasons of water pollution but generally it is not spoke about or discussed. We all believe in God and pray/worship/serve on a regular basis. Worshiping includes offering flowers, lighting essence stick or candles. Now have we ever thought what happens to the waste that’s offered for worshipping/service? After chemical waste and an industrial waste we have one more contributor for water pollution and we all will be amazed to know that this waste does not have a name.

Let’s name this waste or call it as “Holy waste”. Holy waste not only includes flowers, garlands, leaves, essence sticks but dead bodies, ash as well as people take bath directly in rivers which are worshiped to wash off their sins. People avoid throwing “Holy waste” in regular or household waste as they consider it as “SIN”. We have to remember and agree to the fact that not all kind of waste is good for our environment. The water is getting contaminated day by day and we are still not aware as to how much water do we have for our future generation. We all also have to keep this thing in mind that whatever gifts that we have received from our mother nature we have to pass it on to our next generation too. Though “Holy waste” is not as much as industrial or chemical waste but it does contaminate the useable water. We as humans it is our duty to educate and keep everyone aware that majority of “Holy waste” can always be used as manure for plantation purpose and which cannot be used can always be dumped into dry/wet garbage.

By doing so god is not going to curse us, instead Mother Nature will hold our hands and take us along with her in a more greener and beautiful future.  The example that can be imagined is our “River Ganga”. As per analysis it is proved that the major reason for pollution in River Ganga is Holy practices.

Having said that I am not against holy practices or I don’t want to hurt anyone’s emotion but wanted to bring this into notice that the way these practices are conducted or accomplished are hugely impacting out water world or water health. From this platform I just wanted to educate as many as possible, it’s all in mind nothing is going to happen if we have good thought and well to do something for our mother nature as she gives us whatever she has free of cost. It’s our basic duty to serve for Mother Nature if she is not being selfish; we should also selflessly try to keep it clean on regular bases and stop using things which are harming all our water bodies. So that planet earth can be a much better place to stay for us as well as for our future generations.
