Yoga is an education which increases our intellectual power. The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word 'yuj' which means to unite or join.

So, yoga unites all aspects of a human being- physical, social, mental, intellectual and spiritual.

It is an education after its study we get pleasure, joy, happiness and bliss in our life.

Yoga has been practised for thousands of years throughout the Indian sub-continent and is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian philosophy. Patanjali, the great sage, outlined the basic principles more than 2,000 years ago.

Stress and tension continually appear on the horizon. Stress and tension are frequently thought to be the results of external situations. The yogi views this differently. Stress and tension are creations of your own mind. No external situation causes you to get upset or angry. Your mind does.

Some yoga tools help to change our perspective on the things that create stress and tension thereby helping you to cope better with everyday life.

For a contended life you need a harmonious balance between your body, soul and mind, according to yoga philosophy. The pressure of modern society make it difficult to maintain equilibrium. Yoga is particularly beneficial in combating stress and stress related illness as it helps both the mind and the body.

By regular practice of the asanas, the body is strengthened and concentration is also improved. Doctors have accepted the benefits of yoga in increasing the body’s strength and flexibility and helping to alleviate a wide range of health problems.

Practising  “Surya Namaskar” and yogic dhyana, has immense effect on the mind.
