Your Hard Work in Life is What Counts

Well the board results are out and a big congratulations to kids scoring high grades. Definitely the hard work they put in all year long had been paid.

And a big hug to the kids who didn't do well. It's just an academic result and it's absolutely fine. Life is a long road ahead and there's so much to life apart from academic marks. Surely you will find a way.  Don't lose hope. Life has the best in store for you when you least expect it.

My niece having less  attention span hence though she is sharp but she cannot concentrate or focus much on studies or anything else. Good grades would just be beautiful surprises for her parents , they know that and have totally accepted it. If she doesn't win in Olympiads, so what, atleast she grasps whatever is taught in class. Can't speak immaculate English, fine, at least she tries . Doesn't get gold in sports, no problem, atleast she has the spirit to participate.

During PTM, her parents have just 2-3 questions  like, "is she attentive, participates and mingles in the class?" and if the answers are yes then they came out happily.

The best example is my cousin. She most probably had dyslexia though it could not be diagnosed during our times. 'She is weak in studies' was the only diagnosis. She had to struggle to get promoted to a new class every year. During boards she gave her 200%. Due to a surgery she was not able to sit much. Had to go to hospitals number of times for follow ups. She was under the influence of powerful medicines which made her drowsy. Yet she continued to study. When the results were out she had scored 60%. It was a pleasant surprise while her parents had expected to just clear her boards. She went on to be a topper during her University exams in Mass Communications. The most qualified and successful in our family scaling heights in every exam she took, while being most responsible person with a heart of gold.

So cheer up. Life is beautiful and never fails to surprise us. It's just the grades. It's not the end. Your hardwork in life is what counts. God bless you all for your future.
