You could explore possibilities for being coach for football, rugby, cricket, hockey, tennis, golf, netball, basketball, boxing and swimming.

Teaching Sports
As we all know that the 2008, Olympics to be held in Beijing are almost round the corner, the country is gearing up for the grand event. So if this is your gap year, you could work for 3 months in any of the Chinese School as a sports coaching assistant.
An excellent way to spend your gap year would be as a football coach in Ecuador in South America . The underlying idea of this project is that by providing a structured environment for the children to enjoy, you could prevent them from getting involved in crime. Moreover they will gain some educational experience that will help them in future.
If you happen to be in Guatemala , Central America , try to help under-privileged children, by volunteering in a sports training programs which are organized in the local schools which have scanty or no provision for physical education of the children.
Moving across to Africa, get involved in a football coaching programme in Ghana which means working with street children, orphans and children with handicaps. Welfare organizations have bought them together to give them a good life – housing, meals and basic education, besides developing their talents through football.
Onward to Asia, the India Sports and Adventure Program aims to develop sport in India with the help of dedicated and enthusiastic sports teachers (volunteers) in order to develop sports facilities in the blow schools of the Himalayan region, Rajasthan and the almost inaccessible areas of the north east.
